PowerMode Description
PowerMode is a very simple application that comes in handy when you want to quickly activate a power option for the computer or access various Windows utilities. It does not contain any configuration settings, but only provides immediate access to the aforementioned locations.
Quick setup and accessibility via the system tray area
The installation procedure is a fast and easy task that does not require special attention, as it sports only familiar options.
Once it finishes, PowerMode is immediately launched, becomes active and creates an icon in the taskbar notifications area, although it does not pop up a message to indicate this in any way.
Easily trigger a power option or access Windows tools
By bringing up the icon's right-click menu it is possible to log off the computer, restart it or shut it down. In addition, PowerMode provides direct access to Task Manager, Services, System Information and Control Panel. There are no other noteworthy options provided by this piece of software.
Evaluation and conclusion
As expected from such as small app, its impact on system performance is insignificant, since it uses low CPU and RAM. It executes a command rapidly and worked well in our evaluation, without triggering Windows to hang, crash or pop up error messages.
Although it does not integrate rich features, PowerMode offers a simple solution to access power options and various Windows tools from the system tray area, and it can be used by anyone, even those with little or no kind of previous experience with software applications.
