magazinelikeTime Description
Rainmeter is a popular application which puts emphasis on user creativity, supporting simple editing of settings files to create desktop enhancements. There’s a rich library of preset environments and gadgets to install for Rainmeter, with magazinelikeTime providing a cool clock, calendar, and temperature display directly on the desktop.
With little time spent installing it, the first thing to do is head over to Rainmeter’s skin manager window to enable the new skin. It shows up on the desktop, and just like any other item of its kind, it can be freely moved around the desktop, pinned into a fixed position, or ignore mouse interaction, through the default set of options.
The skin comes with four variants to include different measurement units. Two major categories are for Celsius, and Fahrenheit, while subdivisions affect the way clock is displayed, in either a 12, or 24 hour format.
Chances are the temperature indicator shows no info, but this is only because the skin allows custom input of area code. Editing environment details is done through the corresponding INI file. This is the place to find options to change color through RGB values, while the location needs to be the code of the target area, information which can easily be obtained online.System requirementsRainmeter
