Magic Folder Now

Magic Folder Now is a simplistic program designed to help you hide your folders. This way, you can prevent other people from viewing your private information, in case multiple users have access to your computer.
The interface of the utility is plain and easy to follow. Upon initialization, you are required to set a password that shall be used every time you want to hide folders.
Adding an item to the protected folder list can be done via the file browser only because the 'drag and drop' method is not supported. So, you can check out the location and status for each entry.
It is possible to hide or make visible all folders, or one at a time; this can also be done by using the predefined keyboard shortcuts available in the context menu. In addition, you can mark a folder as your favorite (in case you use it on a frequent basis), change the program password, or create data backups.
The software tool runs on a low amount of CPU and system memory, is pretty responsive to keyboard commands and mouse events, and includes user documentation. We have not experienced any issues throughout our evaluation; Magic Folder Now did not freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs. Unfortunately, no recent updates have been made.
