Map Grabber Description
Map Grabber is a lightweight Windows application built specifically for helping users taking screenshots for capturing online maps.
Since this is a portable program, it is important to mention that it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows Registry.
You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you need to capture maps from the Internet on the breeze, without having to go through installation steps.
Map Grabber sports a clean interface that allows you to set up the dedicated parameters with minimum effort.
The tool gives you the possibility to define the area to be captured by manually specifying the values for the top left and bottom right corners. Plus, it gives you the possibility to select the corners by simply dragging and dropping the program’s icon on the desired screen area.
What’s more, you are allowed to specify the delaying time before taking the picture, enter the maximum output image size, pick the saving directory, and select the output format (JPG, PNG, or TIFF).
Last but no least, the utility features a smart system which enables you to perform GPS calibration operations by setting up the coordinate parameters.
During our testing we have noticed that Map Grabber carries out a task very quickly and provides good output results. It doesn’t eat up a lot of CPU and memory, so the overall performance of the computer is not affected.
To sum things up, Map Grabber offers a handy set of parameters for helping you capture some user-defined areas from your screen.
