Mat-MD5 Description
Your computer knows a lot more about files than you do. For instance, it can check whether or not it’s integrity is in order by analyzing a specific code you surely don’t comprehend by simply reading it. Luckily, Mat-MD5 makes it easy to generate the checksum of multiple files to look for that one particular file which matches a given code.
Can be used on the go
On the bright side of things, the application skips you bothe the time and effort needed to go through a setup process, and can be launched right after download. This way, you can take it with you on a thumb drive to use on other PCs, without having to worry about the health status of the system, because system registries don’t need to be modified to ensure functionality.
All the application has to offer can be found in a pretty clean interface, with most of the space allowing you to view target files, corresponding MD5 checksum value, as well as the one to compare to. Although drag and drop is not supported, using the browse dialog allows you to load more files at a time.
Add comparison value, and copy details
As soon as you import files, these are automatically added to the list, with checksum values instantly generated. There’s also a dedicated field to add a custom MD5 value, in case you don’t know what file it belongs to. However, the application can identify this, letting you know through intuitive, colored icons next to each imported file.
Export can be done in several ways. First of all, MD5 values can be saved as simple log files, but there are also some other methods in the context menu. For instance, source filename, MD5 value, or comparison values can be copied to clipboard for one, or more files already on the list.
On an ending note
All things considered, we come to the conclusion that Mat-MD5 comes in handy for analyzing files by their respective checksums. You can easily load multiple files at a time, while the small, clever indicator instantly shows which file the code you provide belongs to, with various export options.
