MB-Ruler Description
MB-Ruler is an application that can help you measure distances and angles on the desktop. This program displays all the instruments above the applications that are currently running on your computer, and this way, you can focus solely on your work while measuring distances on maps or on any other surfaces.
Fashions a simple interface
It packs a clean interface and you can easily perform several actions on the go. The application provides several measurement instruments, such as a triangular ruler, coordinate system, screen cutter, RGB picker, screen loupe, screen grid and overlay objects.
You can opt for a user-defined scale, and it’s possible to add the start and end point of the reference line. MB-Ruler can measure distances in the following units: pixels, centimeters, inches, points and twips.
Multiple measurement instruments
The triangular ruler can help you measure distances and angles, and draw lines, while the coordinate system calculates the coordinates of a point in a Cartesian system. The screen cutter feature allows you to copy a section of the screen to the Clipboard, or as bitmap.
More experienced users may fiddle with some advanced options, as they can enable the hotkeys, and choose the rotation angle and distance unit. Moreover, it is possible to select an angle unit (e.g. degree, radiant), measurement direction (counterclockwise or clockwise), and position (right, middle, left).
Customizable looks
You can customize the look of this application by selecting from different colors for the measurement instruments.
It also includes a built-in magnifier and an RGB color model. For a better control of the measurement units, hotkeys are also available.
Bottom line
In conclusion, MB-Ruler can be considered a useful tool when it comes to measure different angles and distances on your desktop. It bundles a decent pack of features that can be mastered by beginners and experts alike.
