This allows geographically-distributed teams to collaborate with one another in a more efficient manner while also preserving the knowledge. This application is an extension of the Microsoft Lync Server 2010 infrastructure.
It is possible to install the server component on a single computer or multiple ones, depending on the topology. If the organization that uses this service requires compliance support, it is also possible to deploy a Compliance service on a different computer after installing and configuring machines that are running Group Chat Server.
Microsoft Lync Server 2010 Group Chat runs from a virtual server that provides support for up to 30,000 users, but only if the virtual server matches the specifications of the physical one. Each of the topologies require a server with Microsoft Lync Server 2010 Group Chat and one with Microsoft SQL Server database installed.
