Mileage Calculator Description
Needless to say that nowadays you at least know a bunch of people owning a vehicle, and there’s also a high chance you own one, or two yourself. Since a car can’t go one forever with one tank, you need to know how far you can travel with your car’s capacity. As such, Mileage Calculator lets you get an idea of your car’s fuel consumption based on several characteristics.
Keep an eye on the setup process
The application first takes you through a short setup process. However, you need to keep your eyes pealed to every “next†button you press and offer you accept unless you want to have other components installed along with the core files, some of which you might not necessarily want, or need.
All it has to offer is found in a pretty compact, and rather rough interface wrapped around a classic window frame. You can’t process data from any kind of file,so all input needs to be instant, and manually performed, and since there’s no export option either, the result needs to be saved through the clipboard as well.
Leaves more to be desired
As the name clearly points out, by the end of the whole process you find out how efficient, or greedy when it comes to fuel your car actually is. The type of fuel is of no importance, nor any currency details, because the only values you get to work with are distance traveled and fuel consumed for input, while the result is delivered in the mileage field.
The result means the quantity of fuel you need to pump into the tank so you can drive for a mile. Sadly, you only get to work with the Imperial system, with no option to switch to Metric. This also means that distance is specified in miles, while fuel consumed in gallons.
On an ending note
To sum it up, Mileage Calculator is a quick method of calculating your car’s fuel efficiency. Money is not a variable here, with a couple of simple input fields at your disposal. It would have been useful to see Metric system support, and more flexibility when it comes to calculus.
