With minitwi you can browse posts in your Twitter accounts from a clean and user-friendly GUI, without having to use a web browser to login. While some might actually prefer the web-based interface, others will surely come to appreciate the simplicity and ease of use minitwi delivers.

Read tweets in a simple GUI

As expected, minitwi prompts you to enter your Twitter credentials at first launch, so as to login to your account. Once you are authenticated, it displays the latest tweets inside a clean and intuitive interface, exactly as they would appear in a browser, with embedded screenshots and shortened links for easy access.
Right-clicking on any of the displayed tweets reveals a menu that comprises options for copying the text or the link to the clipboard, open the link of an image and send the shortened URL to the default web browser.

Browse Twitter lists and perform searches

Aside from the Twitter timeline, minitwi also enables you to browse through your lists, providing the same options for copying links or sending them to a web browser.
Thanks to the integrated search function you can easily browse the Twitter timeline to find the post you are looking for and access it with just a click.
Clicking on a name in the timeline enables you to access the corresponding Twitter profile and view statistical data regarding the number of tweets and followers. Tweet replies can also be read.

A Twitter client that requires further improvements

minitwi has a long way to go before it can be considered a full-featured desktop client for Twitter, but it works as it should, without triggering errors or failing to retrieve the latest posts. It is extremely easy to use, so it should not pose problems and has a small footprint, not requiring a lot of resources.
