MKV File Player

As the name of this software implies, MKV File Player allows you to play video files with the MKV format. The tool can be easily handled by novices.
The interface of the application is plain and simple to work with. Video clips can be imported via the file browser only, because the "drag and drop" method is not supported.
So, you can use basic media player functions, such as stop, switch to full screen mode, as well as go forward or background for specific time.
But you can also increase or decrease the playback time and volume, set the subtitle delay and position, mute the sound and set an audio delay.
The simplistic application takes up a moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time and didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests. There is no help file available but, even so, MKV File Player is simple to work with.
On the other hand, the interface is outdated and you do not have access to some standard media player elements (e.g. use a slider to navigate back and forth within the clip, enable repeat or shuffling mode, create a playlist). We recommend MKV File Player with reservations.
