MoviePlayer MG Description
MoviePlayer MG is a lightweight Adobe Air-based program designed specifically for helping you open and play F4V, MP4, M4V, M4A, MOV, MP4V, 3GP, 3G2, and FLV files.
Clean GUI
You are welcomed by an intuitive layout where you can add video files in the working environment using the built-in browse button (you cannot rely on the drag-and-drop support).
Playback capabilities
MoviePlayer MG gives you the possibility to play or stop the current video selection, seek for a position in the video streams, adjust the volume, as well as view the file duration.
What’s more, you are allowed to rotate the clip to different angles, zoom in or out of the file, stretch or smooth the video streams, and repeat the current selection.
The application offers you the option to load clips from custom URLs, take snapshots while playing videos and copy images to the clipboard, and record video streams via your webcam.
MoviePlayer MG comes with support for several filters that can be applied to your clips, namely blur, enhance, black & white, negative, and embossing. You may also reset the filter with a single click and check out details about the files, such as audio channels, sample rate, duration, and video framerate.
Performance
Tests have shown that MoviePlayer MG carries out a task quickly and provides very good output quality. It eats up a moderate amount of system resources so the overall performance of the computer is not affected.
On the downside, it hasn’t been updated for a while so you may experience compatibility issues on newer operating systems. We have tested it on Windows 8.1 Pro and come across a single crash while playing clips.
Bottom line
All things considered, MoviePlayer MG comes packed with a basic suite of features for helping you play video files, and is suitable for rookies and professionals alike.
