Video Player

Video Player is a software with a pretty self-explanatory title - it allows you to view media files of several formats, including AVI, ASF, OGG, RM, MOV, MP4, MKV and DVD.
The interface of the program is based on a simplistic window in which you can import media by using the file browser only, because the "drag and drop" method is not supported.
So, you can use basic media player functions, such as pause and stop, navigate back and forth within the stream, adjust the volume and switch to full screen mode.
In addition, you can create a playlist and view history, as well as disable double buffering and enable direct rendering.
Furthermore, you can use cache, enable post processing, select the video output, normalize volume, adjust the default volume gain, select the channels and set the delay time. On top of that, you can use a black band, enable overlapping mode, select the preferred DVD audio and subtitle language, as well as use advanced command-line options, and more.
The media player takes up a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, supports keyboard shortcuts and contains a brief help file that only explains hotkeys. We haven't come across any type of issues during our tests, since Video Player did not freeze, crash or pop up errors. We strongly recommend this tool to all users who are looking for a straightforward application.
