Although setting up such an alarm can be done on most mobile phones, it’s also a possible to do so on a computer, coming in handy for important events, and MP3 Alarm Clock is the type of application to use in this regard.

Easily toggle alert configuration windows

The application comes with a custom-made interface, depicting a digital clock in the 24 hour format. Although the name is quite suggestive, and the interface rather intuitive, you can end up scratching your head for a while, at least until you expand the window to reveal alarm slots.
System time is shown in the interface, while the alarm slots appear in separate sections. Once configured, the application can be minimized to the tray area to have all the desktop space to yourself. There’s no possibility to configure a message to show up, but the configured audio file starts playing once time is due.

Rather difficult to set up alarms

Needless to say that audio alerts are under the form of MP3 files you need to load from your computer through the dedicated dialogs. There’s a test function which enables audio preview, just in case you’re having doubts that it doesn’t properly ring, or at all.
Sadly, the application doesn’t really provide a great deal of freedom. You only have a couple of slots to use, but you’re not forced to configure them both. Setting up the timer is incredibly difficult, because you need to click both the hour and minute indicators to add one point value per click.

Taking everything into consideration, we can state that MP3 Alarm Clock comes with good intentions, but it’s a long way from being a reliable alarm clock. Not only can you only use two slots, but configuring the alerts can be quite a pain, which can make you look for alternatives.
