MP3 Finder Description

Keeping your music collection on the PC is a common practice. However, it can be a bit difficult to find a particular song, especially if the file name isn’t quite fitted with proper parameters. In this regard, applications like MP3 Finder come with the means to easily identify not one, but all songs in a specified path.

Can be used on the go

You don’t even have to go through the effort of installing the application for it to work, which means you can carry it around on a thumb drive to use on other computers too. Another consequence of portability is that system registries remain intact, and so the computer you use it on doesn’t get affected.
All features are stored in a classic window design, making it easy for both experienced individuals, and beginners to get acquainted with the set of tools. Your effort mostly consists of choosing the folder to look into, and initiating the process.

View file path, and ID3 tag

The application doesn’t support drag and drop, but the browse dialog for the target folder isn’t difficult to use. In addition, you can choose to include all subfolders, for a wide range of results, and better chances of finding that particular file you’re looking for.
It doesn’t take long before the list gets filled with all MP3 files detected, with the table also showing path, and size. Moreover, selecting a song reveals its ID3 tag, with details like name, artist, album, year, comment, and genre.
Even though you’re free to write down in ID3 tag fields, these only serve for info purposes, and aren’t saved. What’s more, you need to manually navigate to specific locations to retrieve files, because there’s no built-in option to launch the file, or at least jump to the source folder.

In conclusion

Bottom line is that MP3 Finder can help in identifying audio resources, being especially handy if you’re making music and don’t really remember where effects, or loops are. The process is finished in the blink of an eye, but without better filters, and no possibility to jump, or copy source path, practicality has a lot to suffer.
