Multi Path Files Finder Description

Whenever you’re having trouble manually identifying specific files on your computer, you most likely end up using the Windows built-in search engine. However, it can take some time for it to build the index, and display results, and this is where third-party alternatives like Multi Path Files Finder come in handy.

Visual design, and portability perks

A cool thing about it is that you don’t even have to go through the effort of installing it to work, which means it can easily be carried around on a USB flash drive to use on other computers as well. Apart from a great deal of flexibility, portability also means that the PC you use it on doesn’t get affected, because registries don’t need to be modified for the application to work.
On launch, a compact main windows shows up, with accommodation taking no longer than a couple of seconds. A dedicated field needs to be filled in with the name of the file you’re looking for. Additionally, you can write down a file extension to have all related files displayed. There’s also a different field through which to ignore files with specific names, or extensions.

Fast search in three different locations

As the name suggests, the difference between regular search utilities and this one is that here, you have to possibility to search in not one, but three different folders at the same time. Each input field can also be marked to include all subfolders.
You don’t have to wait a lot of time for the application to create an index, nor display files it finds. Detection ratio is impressive, and so is speed. When done, files can be launched, opened with custom programs, moved, copied, renamed, or deleted. The application can quietly sit in the tray are to be used only when necessary. Sadly, there’s no associated hotkey, nor option to assign one, to quickly bring up the main window.

A few last words

On an ending note, Multi Path Files Finder proves to be a suitable alternative to the Windows built-in search utility. It comes with a minimalistic, but intuitive enough to get you up and running in a jiffy. You can look for files in three different locations at a time, while the speed of the operation doesn’t keep you waiting for long.
