Multi Tray Ping Description

Pinging a certain host in order to test the status of a connection is simple enough, but things get a lot more tricky if you find yourself having to monitor multiple servers at the same time.
Multi Tray Ping is a handy piece of software that can come to your aid, as it is capable of monitoring multiple addresses while running quietly in the background. It is easy to configure, and it displays all the info you need in the system tray.

Fairly straightforward ping tool that allows you to monitor multiple hosts

The main advantage offered by this application is that it does not limit you to checking servers one by one, a time-consuming and tedious task. You can add any number of hosts, and then specify which of them should be monitored at any given time.
Several advanced parameters can be customized. For instance, you can set the repeat interval and the packet size, as well as define the success and failed period.

Unobtrusive program that monitors hosts from the system tray

Once you have added one or more addresses, you can specify whether the application should display separate tray icons for each one. We feel that this is the best approach, as it makes it easy to monitor hosts based on the status indicated by each tray icon.
While Multi Tray Ping can be left to run in the background while you perform other tasks, it is also possible to obtain more detailed information about each connection.

Features an outdated user interface

The program is more than capable of getting the job done, but it is clear that the UI has not been modernized for quite some time. Mind you, this may not be a problem for users who are more interested in functionality.
On the whole, Multi Tray Ping is a useful piece of software that can help you monitor several remote hosts in a straightforward manner. It is simple to use and unobtrusive, but it would benefit from a modernized UI.
