MurGeeMon Description
Plenty of users work in dual-monitor environments despite the fact that the average size of the displays has been constantly on the rise. MurGeeMon has been created to offer these users the possibility to customize both the looks and the functionality of the devices.
The interface is neatly organized with menus that cover options for managing the wallpaper and the screensaver along with control over mouse movement and accessibility, taskbar icons and application windows.
The application is modular and most of the functions it makes available are carried out by individual applets.
Functions at a glance
Since Windows already includes some simple customization options, the developer did not include additional ones in MurGeeMon. However, the users can decide the availability of the second monitor at the start of the operating system in a specific state (extended, cloned).
Bundled in the program is a utility that permits moving specific application windows to a specific display. MurGeeMon includes the possibility to clone one of the windows opened on the main monitor and there is the choice to set a delay value between refreshes.
If you grow extremely familiar and dependent of the program controlling it from the keyboard might be a faster way to work with it. For this purpose, a large set of actions can be assigned keyboard shortcuts.
MurGeeMon includes a hefty list of options, but in some cases these cannot be used as seamlessly as most users would like. At a first glance there is plenty of documentation to rely on in case you get stuck but some of the files are missing
Conclusion
The application does include interesting options and features but in some cases other alternatives manage to provide a more comfortable way to handle them. Also, some users may feel overwhelmed by the multitude of choices and configuration settings.
