Background Changer

Background Changer is a freeware tool developed to automatically change the desktop background at user-defined intervals.
There’s nothing that could get you too much trouble because everything’s pretty intuitive, starting with the GUI and ending with the available options.
The tabbed interface lets you quickly configure the wallpaper changing task, allowing you to set up the time interval to automatically change the background.
There are some extra dedicated options too in order to randomize wallpapers and play a sound when wallpaper changes.
Setting up the image list however is much more important. Background Changer can work with BMP and JPG formats, offering dedicated options to even save and load an image list. Of course, wallpapers can be stretched or tiled in order to better match your desktop.
The app also places an icon in the Windows System Tray to quickly change the background, but it lacks hotkey support to do the same thing from the comfort of your keyboard.
There’s no help section available, but chances are that you don’t need one thanks to this user-friendly approach. The app however fails to change wallpapers on Windows 7 workstations although it launches quite fine.
All things considered, Background Changer is one of the many apps out there developed to take care of your desktop background. As compared to all the other similar programs however, Background Changer doesn’t come with an eye-candy interface and offers nothing more than the basic options to enhance the wallpaper changing process.
