My Movie Manager Description
My Movie Manager is a lightweight Windows program able to keep your movies organized in a database. Plus, you are allowed to grab details about movies from IMDb and assign personal ratings.
Clean looks
Initial configuration settings give you the possibility to specify the location where you keep your movies stored (you may add multiple directories). This is an important step that you need to configure because the program automatically looks for video files in the target directories and imports them in the database.
The GUI looks straightforward and impresses with a well-structure suite of configuration settings. Movie artworks can be previewed with the aid of thumbnails.
Manage your movie database
My Movie Manager gives you the possibility to look for movie information on IMDb and update all movie details by retrieving data from IMDb with a single click.
What’s more, you are allowed to display the entries in an ascending or descending order or sort the videos by title, director, cast, plot, year, language, country, filename, year, IMDb rating, or personal rating.
The application offers you the freedom to create lists with watched and favorite videos, view IMDb details about an entry directly in the main window, such as rating, directors, duration, languages, countries, genres, and description, as well as rate movies.
Video files can also be opened via your default media player with a single click from the utility’s interface. Plus, you can remove items from the database and make the program display all movies in the main window.
Tests have pointed out that My Movie Manager carries out a task quickly and without errors. It does not eat up a lot of CPU and memory resources so the overall performance of the system is not affected.
Final remarks
All things considered, My Movie Manager accommodates basic features for helping you create a movie database, and is suitable especially for less experienced users.
