MyHistory Description
Time management helps boost efficiency in any domain of activity. With a proper plan, you can sum up a lot of minutes, or hours at the end of the day as leisure time. In case you’re working on a computer on a daily basis, then applications like MyHistory are sure to help you create a plan, or at least find out if you can finish a task on time.
Quietly sits in the tray area
Before you can take the application for a spin, it’s best to make sure that .NET Framework is installed on the PC you plan to use it on. Setup takes a few seconds, and you’re up and running before you realize.
The application starts minimized to the tray area, so it’s a good idea to look there in case you’re wondering why nothing shows up. The compact main window is where all configurations need to be performed. It takes little effort to configure a task, with only a few requirement fields like subject, details, tags, and duration in either minutes, hours, or days.
Track tasks, and generate reports
Once you’re done setting up the first task, hitting “OK†sends the application back to the tray area. What’s more, countdown immediately starts, and you can check on your remaining time by simply hovering the cursor over the tray icon, but it doesn’t update in real time if you hold it longer.
When the preset time runs out, the main window is automatically brought up, so you can decide whether or not to close the task, or continue. Choosing to continue also makes it possible to include new tags. However, you can pause a task at any given moment by simply interacting with the tray icon, with the same options as when time runs out.
Last but not least, you can check on your progress in the form of a report. A new window is brought up, letting you view all activities in a table which shows all activities, including interrupt time. Sadly, there aren’t any export options, unless you’re fine with taking a screenshot.
To sum it up
Bottom line is that a good time management is sure to at least free some time for personal stuff, or boost your activities towards success. Either way, MyHistory allows you to see whether or not you can finish given activities in time, so you can analyze your work, and cut off as many distractions as possible.
