NetSpeed Description
Nowadays, many of us couldn't possible imagine our lives without the internet and all the information that it provides us at our fingertips. That's why it can get frustrating when the internet is down or bandwidth speed isn't what we expect it to be.
Fortunately, there are applications that help monitor your internet speed and show you if there are any interference. One of these software solutions is NetSpeed.
Lightweight interface with lots of tools at hand
NetSpeed doesn't take long to install and it doesn't have a complicated interface that you would need to complete. Netspeed is a simple network interface bandwidth monitoring program for Windows, the developer didn't launch another version for other platforms.
It displays current network download and upload speeds on a selected interface in a small window and in the system tray.
Check download and upload internet speeds
The application displays download and upload speeds in a neat interface on the screen. It comes with a real-time graph in two different colors, so you can easily distinguish between the two speeds.
However, the graphical interface seems a bit dated and it definitely needs improvements. You can't enlarge the window, which is quite inconvenient since the text appears a bit small and it's hard to read.
In addition, you can't view past monitored logs or export the information in a larger window to make it easier to monitor.
Some settings that you can adjust
All data is displayed in KG/s and it even shows the average speed if you want to check it out. Right click on the window and get options to hide the window in the tray, leave it always on top or adjust some settings.
There's the option to pick from multiple networks, like WiFi, Bluetooth, Ethernet and more that are available on your computer. Set the maximum download, upload and refresh interval or have the application show average.
All in all, NetSpeed is a nice software solution for monitoring your internet speed, but it could use some more tools.
