If you are looking for a basic and straightforward word editor to do your work fast and easy, then Notepad.NET may be a good choice. The installation process is swift and requires a few mouse clicks.
If the provided desktop icon doesn't start the app, you can try running the executable from its destination folder. The offered layout is clean and approachable with a few quick commands in the upper part of the panel, while the documents are displayed in the rest of the window.

Rudimentary elements and lack of important features 

It's possible to open multiple drafts and edit them at the same time, making the process much productive and efficient. Unfortunately, it only supports TXT file formats, but the text from other sources, can be easily pasted into the editor, and further arranged. The processor's background color may be picked from the settings. Plus, the tool lets you undo your actions, if you are not happy with the result, and find/replace words with other.
Sadly, the View menu is unaccessible and doesn't provide any functions, along with the lack of paragraph manipulation, and word wrap. In addition, there is no choice to change the font type, color, size, or style, to fully customize the content, making the editor useful only for viewing and apply minor modifications. Records are saved in TXT type.
