PasswdFinder Description
PasswdFinder is a lightweight program built specifically for helping users recover lost or forgotten passwords for various applications.
It sports a clean and straightforward layout that allows you to perform most operations with just a few clicks.
Compared to other similar recovery tools that require users to open the utilities and hover the mouse cursor over the area where the passwords are hidden behind asterisks, PasswdFinder simplifies the entire process of retrieving lost passwords.
As soon as you run the tool, it automatically scans the computer and reveals data in the primary panel, such as name of the utility, username, and password.
It doesn’t require an Internet connection in order to carry out the scanning process, so your data is not stored in the cache area. This way, you can make sure your sensitive information remains private from unauthorized viewing.
What’s more, you can save the selected information to the Clipboard, refresh the current list with just one click, as well as perform search operations.
Another notable characteristic bundled in this tool is the exporting feature which lets users save data to a wide range of file formats, namely HTML, CSV, XML, XLS, DOC, RTF, PDF, or plain text format. Plus, you can also print the information.
When it comes to configuration settings, you can select the language and filter the software applications found on the system in an alphabetical order. Plus, you can select the programs to be scanned from a preset list.
During our testing we have noticed that PasswdFinder carries out the recovery process very quickly and without errors throughout the entire process. It leaves a minimal footprint on system resources, so the overall performance of the computer is not hampered.
All in all, PasswdFinder comes with a decent feature pack and the ease of use can make it appropriate even for less experienced users.
