All the stored entries are secured using 128-bit encryption, and the database can only be accessed by providing the user-defined master password. If you want to leave your PC momentarily, you can bring up the lock screen at any time.
However, the stored passwords are not hidden when scrolling through the sheet, so it is very easy for anyone around you to view sensitive information.
Also, Password ID does not allow you to organize the entries into categories, which can become problematic once a large number of them are added. Furthermore, a search function is not available.

Generate secure passwords and create backups

The program comes equipped with a decent password generator that enables you to create complex, unique passkeys for your accounts.
You can also backup the database to an encrypted file and restore it at any time, as well as export all the data to a CSV file.
Overall, Password ID is a minimalistic cross-platform app that can be used to store sensitive information in a secure manner. It lacks a few important features, however, and it does not conceal your passwords within the main program window.
