Personal Diary Description
The Internet is filled with all sort of applications that you could use in order to keep a diary on your computer. One of them is Personal Diary.
It's a neat and unusual application with some nice features that you can explore. The application's main advantage is its multiple customization options but it doesn't excel in the features department.
Colorful but a bit dated graphical interface
The application installs quickly but it sports a dated graphical interface. The design is interesting but it doesn't necessarily mean that it's highly functional. Unlike other diary applications, Personal Diary allows you to change the background picture of the interface.
You can pick from a whole list of options for changing the whole appearance of the program, but don't expect these images to be high-quality. Still, it allows you to browse your computer and add a picture from the hard drive.
Keep a diary with your thoughts
You simply need to start typing in text in order to create a diary entry. It doesn't let you adjust the time and date attached to your entries. It also lacks a built-in calendar for browsing through various days and entries that you might have written.
The section for writing posts is too small and you can't enlarge it. It also doesn't have any text formatting tools and you can't change the font style and even size.
Add a password to restrict access
It comes with the option to add a password to the application so that you would protect your diary posts. You can print or export entries to another program on your computer. It could also use a section in which you can view your diary entries, together with the dates they were created.
All in all, Personal Diary offers a unique graphical interface, but lacks truly essential features that any diary program should have like text formatting tools and at least a built-in calendar.
