Photo Scissors Pilot Description

You don't always capture exactly what you want inside a frame when taking a picture. With every second counting, objects can get in the way or you can simply move your hands accidentally and ruin the quality. There are an abundance of specialized, image post-processing applications and Photo Scissors Pilot wants to help you out in cutting unwanted or unnecessary details from your pictures.

Intuitive design and interactive tutorials

The main window is well organized, with a large, interactive preview area that lets you load images simply by dragging them, zoom in and out, or pan for better analysis. A side panel serves as the toolbox, granting quick access to adjustments and corresponding parameters, while the upper toolbar is used to store general, file related functions.
Upon launch, you're greeted by a small prompt fitted with several demonstrative lessons so you quickly learn how and why to use built-in tools. However, going through with tutorials means you have to give up on your mouse for a little while, with the application taking over all controls, moving your cursor, making adjustments and displaying tooltips.
Once you get the hang of things, it's time to load images, but one by one. File support is neat, both for import, as well as export, with formats like JPG, TIF, PNG, BMP, RLE, DIB, and TPI. Don't worry about applying changes, because prompts make sure you don't overwrite the file. What's more, there's a button that shows the original, and there's also an undo function to get you out of sticky situations.

Simple, automated editing tools

Leaving visuals and navigation aside, built-in tools give you the possibility to crop, resize, add text, remove objects, smart resize, and stitch. These are pretty easy to use even if you didn't go through with tutorials.
Cropping and resizing speak for themselves, only requiring you to write down new values or select the target area. Smart tools, on the other hand, take a little more of your time for high-quality results. The process is easy, though. With an adjustable brush, you need to select areas that are affected and the ones you want to keep intact.
It takes a little time to get it right. The application applies strong algorithms that compress your picture just as you'd press on both sides of an object until center details are no longer visible. However, make sure to leave at least a horizontal or vertical line up for editing, otherwise the picture can't be processed properly.

To end with

Taking everything into consideration, we can say that Photo Scissors Pilot aims to automate the process of removing objects from pictures and somehow manages to do so. It puts an intuitive environment at your disposal, with helpful tutorials that are sure to explain how each tool functions so you can then take turn and attempt to enhance, or destroy images of your choice.
