PhotoWizz Description
With most mobile phones fitted with powerful cameras, multimedia content has become a pretty common and popular resource. Although it doesn’t take a lot of time, it can be frustrating to manually copy files from removable drives to your computer. Luckily, PhotoWizz comes with the means to automate the process for more comfort.
Have files automatically copied from removable drives
Modern iterations of Windows come with .NET Framework in the default set of features. However, it’s a good idea to check whether or not it is installed on your computer, because it’s required to both install, and run the application.
On first launch, the configuration windows is brought up so you can set all necessary functions to automate the process. This operation means that every time you insert a removable storage device PhotoWizz scans it for multimedia content and automatically moves or copies it to a destination folder on your computer.
Easily set file and drive filters
Apart from a folder to send media content to, you can easily define which file formats to target. The application comes with impressive support, and you’re able to handle files like ASF, AVI, CR2, CSV, DAT, DCR, DNG, DOC, DV, GIF, GRAY, HTM, JPEG, JPG, LOG, M4A, MP3, MP4, RAW, TXT, WAV, TIFF, and a lot more.
Also inside the configuration window, you get the chance to set a default viewer application as well as a command line parameter if necessary, with a test function to see if all goes well. Moreover, there’s the possibility to filter drives to exclude from the process, which comes in handy for preventing the destination folder from getting filled with loads of junk files.
In order for the application to properly do its job, you need to use the pop-up window to select PhotoWizz when Windows asks what action to take on the drive. If this is done, the application always moves target files without prompt, thus minimizing your effort.
To end with
All in all, PhotoWizz is sure to come in handy for automating the transfer process of various file types from removable drives to your computer. Filters can be set to file formats and drives, while effort on your behalf is minimum, because the application handles everything as soon as you plug in the removable drive.
