PolyCAD Description

Modelling Environment:
One of the primary development objectives of PolyCAD is to provide a highly interactive and intutive Modelling environment capable of accuratly controlling both curves and surfaces.
Entities:
Entities covered include interactive curves, interactive surfaces, Facet surfaces and constructive surfaces.
Tools:
A wide range of tools is supported which can be used to analyse the design. These include hydrostatic, section area and volumetric calculations. Automatic generation of full Lines Plan drawings from any surface based entity and the printing of scale template so that the design can be realised.
Interfaces:
The most popular formats such as DXF and IGES are supported for the entities included. Other formats are supported which are either for other software design tools or particular formats used by certain companies.
