Portable Magic Uneraser

Portable Magic Uneraser is a capable application that allows you to restore the lost files from a multitude of file systems, including several versions of FAT and NTFS. The program is suitable for recovering files after a virus attack or system crash; whether the files were partially or completely lost, the program can find them.

Undelete all types of files

Portable Magic Uneraser is capable of recovering several types of files, including images, cabinet files, .CHM, compressed items, PDFs, documents, spreadsheets, icons or videos. The files are sorted by their extensions into designated folders, which you can open and preview.
Several other file formats, including .EXE, system files, .Ink, .INI, .TMP or .DLL can be recovered. The results are wittingly sorted into folders based on their type, but also by the amount of each file that was recovered.

Portable Magic Uneraser allows you to preview the restored items in folders. Thus 100% restored files can be found in Content-Aware Analysis directory, whereas bad items might be stored in the Lost and Found, marked with a red “X”.
Similarly, system files are also stored in a separate folder, as well as recently deleted (and recovered) items. A quick preview is offered, for the files which support it, such as pictures and documents.

Saving recovery results

Portable Magic Uneraser allows you to save the results of the scan to your computer, in a different folder than the original, as recommended. You may also burn the selected items straight to a CD/DVD, create an ISO image in which to include them or upload the files to a remote location via FTP.

Create disk image

In order to facilitate future recovery processes, Portable Magic Uneraser allows you to create disk images, containing the current settings and files. You can copy an entire drive or just sectors of it, as a security measure. Thus, in future occasions, you simply need to mount the image and extract the desired files from it.
