PowerScan XP 1.0 Description

PowerScan XP is a lightweight and portable application which scans the local and remote computers for open ports. It addresses all types of users, regardless of their experience level.
Since installation is not a requirement, you can just drop the tool anywhere on the hard drive and run the executable directly.
It is also possible to save PowerScan XP to a USB flash drive or similar storage unit, and run it on any computer. This way, you can keep the app in your pocket whenever you're on the move.
The utility's interface is represented by a standard window with a common layout. Only four fields must be filled with information, in order to initialize the scanning procedure.
So, you can write the computer's address, start and end open port, together with the maximum socks. During the scan job, you can view the elapsed time and scan rate. Unfortunately, the list of open ports cannot be copied to the Clipboard or exported to an external file (e.g. TXT). Furthermore, the program cannot be minimized to the system tray area or set to run at system startup automatically.
PowerScan XP uses a low-to-moderate quantity of CPU and system memory, so it shouldn't put a strain on the computer's performance. It has a good response time, finishes a scan job rapidly and works well, without hanging, crashing or displaying error notifications. Aside from the fact that the app has not been updated for a very long time, PowerScan XP's straightforward functions should be appealing to all users.
