Pyrochild plugins

Pyrochild plugins represents a collection with multiple Paint.net plugins from developer Pyrochild, enabling you to enhance your photographs by inserting objects and applying a wide range of effects, such as pixelate and stitch.

Download and install Paint.net add-ons

The downloaded package includes the DLL file of each add-on. You can either extract and copy the extensions of interest to the "Effects" folder of Paint.net's installed directory, or implement all of them by running the setup kit. Both methods work regardless of whether you have the installer or portable version of the image editor at hand.
After loading a photograph, you can find the new add-ons spread across various submenus of the "Effects" menu. They can be easily spotted thanks to the tiny icon that looks like the piece of a puzzle, marking all external extensions.

Apply many effects and customize preferences

For example, you can apply a pixelate filter and adjust the cell width and height, as well as pick the sampling method between Paint.net and GIMP. When using the stitch effect, you can tweak the amount, width and angle.
It's also possible to insert a rectangle, ellipse, arc or pie shape, pick the line width and color, along with the anti-aliasing mode and pattern (solid, dotted, dashed).
Pyrochild plugins makes room for outlining objects, jittering images, adding film effects, generating gradient bars, as well as for filling shapes with random patterns. Modifications can be previewed in real time and most settings can be reverted to default.

Compatibility issues with the newest Paint.net

The Pyrochild plugins collection hasn't received updates for a long time and this is probably why we've experienced compatibility issues with some of the extensions in our tests. Paint.net showed an error message when we attempted to load some of the filters. It asked us to restart the photo editor but it didn't resolve the issue.
