QuickSync Description
Chances are you need to have the same files in two directories. The process of updating content of folder groups is known as synchronization, and it’s best done with the help of specialized applications. In this regard, QuickSync comes with a set of tools which can perform this on the spot, or at regular intervals.
Easily configure sync intervals
Once setup is over you get the chance to have the application launched to see what it’s all about. The main window is pretty intuitive, and the description is clear enough, suggesting you need to drop the two folders, on after the other, over the supported area. This brings up the configuration screen to define synchronization.
Needless to say that picking the two folders is easy enough. In terms of configurations, the application mostly refers to when the process needs to kick in. This is either possible at regular intervals, for which you set days, hours, minutes, and seconds, or date, which offers pretty much a self-explanatory configuration.
Set up multiple sync operations
On the bright side of things, the application is capable of taking care of multiple sync operations. These are all saved in the configuration screen, from which they can be edited or removed. The program can quietly sit in the tray area to silently perform synchronization.
Unfortunately, the application performs only one type of synchronization, namely making sure the same content is found in both folders. Additionally, you can choose to be asked whether or not to supply backup paths of target items, and to start the sync process right away without taking you through the configuration screen.
To sum it up
Taking everything into consideration, we can state that QuickSync is a reliable application which can be used for regular synchronization processes. This can be done on the long run without affecting original items. Despite the only possible sync type, it’s sure to come in handy.
