Rahu Kaal Description
Throughout time, we managed to create a large variety of different cultures, each with specific beliefs and spiritual activities. Some might be religious, while other focus on spirituality. To emphasize this, applications like Rahu Kaal want to help you better remember specific periods of day to help you both culturally and spiritually.
Simple interface quickly gets you up and running
The application takes little time to install on your computer, and runs before you know it. However, there might be the need to run with compatibility settings, with several errors triggered on newer Windows iterations.
On the visual side of things, the application stores all of its features in a classic window frame, but all other elements are custom-made, giving a general pleasant feel. A few options are in plain sight, while most of the space in each area is fitted with thorough descriptions so you don’t get stuck along the way.
Configure location and generate reports
There’s a side panel that shows current area specifications, related to time. Details include day, time, date, sunset and sunrise, country, city, as well as geographical data. These settings can be set from the Generate Rahu Kaal menu, where you can view reports regarding upcoming periods of time.
Analysis is done by setting a start and end date, chosen from a few drop-down menus that show a neat calendar. Places can be modified according to your needs, with a menu showing a large variety of countries and cities from around the world. What’s more, you can save these settings as your default location to be shown in the main window.
There’s also the possibility to have reports generated, either to print on a sheet of paper or save locally to file. Unfortunately, you can’t set any reminders to alert you of upcoming day events, which means you need to keep the application main window up at all times, and check on it every once in awhile.
In conclusion
Taking everything into consideration, we can say that Rahu Kaal is a practical utility that mostly serves as an active guide for Indian cultures. The interface is clean and bundled with descriptions so you know what to configure and where to keep your attention. However, the set of features feels a bit rough, with a few export options and no alert or notification system.
