Random Number Generator Description
Random Number Generator is a piece of software you can use to easily create random numbers between any interval you specify. They can have both positive and negative values. It's practical whenever you need to generate random numbers on the spot for various purposes, such as picking the winner of a contest by ID.
Installer, requirements and interface
Setting it up takes little time and minimal attention, since there are no unfamiliar options available. However, it won't work unless you download and install .NET Framework first, since it was developed with the aid of this platform.
When it comes to the interface, Random Number Generator adopts a small window with a plain appearance and straightforward options.
Generate random numbers within an interval
You can get started by specifying the inferior and superior limit, after which you can click a button to generate it instantly. If you're not pleased with it, you can swap it for a new one by keep pressing the button.
As previously mentioned, it's possible to assign both positive and negative limits when creating numbers. Unfortunately, the software application doesn't implement richer features, such as the ability to generate multiple numbers at the same time, nor to log entries to file for keeping track of history.
Evaluation and conclusion
Unsurprisingly, given its small size, Random Number Generator didn't put a strain on the computer's performance in our tests, running on a low amount of CPU and RAM. No error dialogs popped up and it didn't hang or crash. It stayed stable throughout its entire runtime.
On the other hand, the software tool comes packed with a light set of options, doesn't make room for customization and cannot work if you don't have.NET Framework. Nonetheless, it delivers a straightforward method for instantly generating random numbers within any interval you set.
