Real Time Audio Analyzer Description
Real Time Audio Analyzer is a lightweight Windows application designed specifically for helping you examine audio files using FFT and n-th octave frequency analyzers and oscilloscope. You can check out the frequency spectrum at 12th, 6th, 3rd and full octave resolution via the built-in octave analyzer.
User interface
The tool adopts a multi-tabbed layout that helps you switch between the main audio analyzers incorporated within the program, namely octave band analyzer, FFT mode and oscilloscope.
There’s support for a help manual but it is quite poor in giving information about the program’s capabilities so you need to experiment with the parameters in order to understand its functions.
Audio tweaks
Real Time Audio Analyzer gives you the possibility to work with the FFT frequency analyzer in order to check out the input signal to the program and octave band analyzer that reveals data in real time.
In addition, you may turn on or off the analyzer, select the octave band width, adjust the averaging speed to slow, fast or very slow, show or hide the last measurement, as well as store up to eight measurement positions. Last but not least, you may choose the input device and tweak some settings that refer to the axis configuration, graph colors and signal processing.
Bottom line
All in all, Real Time Audio Analyzer comes with a handy suite of features for helping you evaluate audio streams with the aid of different analyzers. On the downside, the GUI is not highly intuitive so you may spend some extra time getting used to it. The tool hasn’t been updated for a while, so it may cause compatibility issues on newer operating systems.
