RealAnime is a lightweight application that helps users to compress large video files (AVI, MKV, OGM, D2V) by using different video codecs.
It sports a clean and straightforward interface that allows you to perform most operations with just a few clicks.
RealAnime works with various video codecs (RealVideo, x264, XviD, VP6, VP7, FFDShow, DivX ), audio codecs (RealAudio), and filtering tools (AVISynth, Helix Producer).
The video parameters can be configured in terms of quality, bitrate, deinterlacing options, and frame size, while the audio ones can be set up by selecting the quality and bitrate, applying special effects (noise reduction, smooth or sharpen options), and specifying the audio delay value.
What’s more, you can select the saving directory and make the program overwrite or rename the existing files, or skip the encoding process, as well as close the application or shutdown the computer at the end of the task.
RealAnime also keeps a log which gives details about the encoding operations and possible errors.
During our testing we have noticed that the utility carries out a task very quickly and without errors throughout the entire process. It doesn’t eat up a lot of CPU and memory, so it doesn’t burden the overall performance of the computer, nor interfere with other applications’ functionality.
