RegexTransformer

RegexTransformer assists you in modifying a text by making use of regular expressions. It provides a simple tool that can help you generate your own set of customized rules for changing the content of a text much easier, thus avoiding the tedious operation of making modifications as you read.
The application comprises all the options you need in a single window. Its forthright appearance should be enough to draw in unexperienced users who want to learn about how regular expressions are used.
A new regex transform file (in RET format) can be easily imported from your computer and loaded into the application. Alternatively, you can use the dedicated section in the GUI to create your own set of rules manually, one by one. There are two kinds of rules that you can add, namely regex and standard rules. Both can optionally take into account the text case.
For instance, RegexTransformer can be used for replacing commas by semicolons or other punctuation marks and substituting entire words throughout the text.
Once you have finished editing the rule set, just press the 'Execute Regexes' button. The application displays both the original and the processed text in two side-by-side panes, so that you can identify the changes easier.
RegexTransformer offers a faster and more convenient method to perform changes to a text, while also providing a learning utility for understaning how regular expression work. It allows the quick replacement of words, characters and punctuation marks within a text, saving you the effort of manually performing this operation.
