ResCalc Master Description
ResCalc Master is a versatile program that can assist electronics engineers and students in calculating resistor values faster than any other traditional method. It is highly interactive, yet easy to use and has a low learning curve.
Following a quick and complication-free installation process, the program makes itself available via a desktop shortcut. In terms of appearance, ResCalc Master sports a pleasant and intuitive interface that gets you acquainted with the program’s feature set rapidly.
After you’ve selected the measurement unit for the resistor and its band (3 to 6 supported), you can proceed to calculating its value or color, depending on your needs. If you opt for the latter, things are quite simple, as it all comes down to manually specifying the resistance and the program automatically generates the design of the resistor.
On the other hand, provided that you need to calculate its value depending on colors, you will be required to choose the color for each band, at which point the application will recalculate the resistance according to the specified model.
Also encased in the application is a separate color code utility that provides tables and resistor specifications for each of the bands. If you’re interested in knowing the EIA (Electronic Industries Association) standard resistor values, there’s a dedicated feature for this task alone.
Moreover, ResCalc Master can help you calculate the output of a series or parallel circuit based on custom defined resistance values. However, support is limited to ten resistors per circuit.
In conclusion, ResCalc Master makes for a nifty way to handle resistor related work. By doing all the calculations for you, the program can save a considerable amount of time, not to mention efforts.
