Salted Hash Kracker Portable

This is the portable edition of Salted Hash Kracker, a simple-to-use software program that can retrieve salted hash passwords with the help of a dictionary file. It features support for MD5, SHA1, SHA256, SHA384 and SHA512 checksums.

Portability advantages

Since there is no installation involved, you can drop the executable file in any part of the hard disk and just click it to run.
There is also the possibility to save Salted Hash Kracker to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any PC with minimum effort and no previous installers.
More importantly, the tool does not modify Windows registry settings or create extra files on the disk without your approval, leaving no traces behind after removing it.

Clear-cut GUI and options

The main app window has a clean structure. You can enter the hash text and select the hash type, input the salt text and position (beginning or end), as well as point out the password dictionary file.
After Salted Hash Kracker finishes the task, it shows the password count, total elapsed time, cracking speed and status. Information can be exported to file for further evaluation.

Evaluation and conclusion

The tool does not put a strain on PC performance, since it requires low CPU and RAM. No error dialogs were shown in our tests, and Salted Hash Kracker did not hang or crash. All in all, it serves its purpose with minimal user assistance.
