What's new in version 6.01 (Sat 25 Dec. 2004) Surprisingly, the Stop/interrupt button of the "rubato and tuning" mode did not always work correctly on some palmOne Tungsten T3 devices. Now it does. What's new in version 6.00 (Wed 15 Dec. 2004) New main screen piano keyboard mode, "rubato and tuning". In this mode, the notes being played using the piano keyboard have a very long duration (an indicator telling the note duration in seconds appears when this mode is set on). This makes it possible for you to tune, say, your violin or voice, BUT it also makes it possible for the user to play for example very slow and free-rhythm melodies. Or fast ones. Anything, actually. Very important new feature the value of which you only realize when trying it yourself! The visual part of the metronome is now bigger and clearer which makes it easier for one to detect the tempo visually, without sound, also from a distance. The maximum amount of automatic repetitions of scales, chords and intervals on the main screen is now 99 (previously 9). The main screen Interrupt button responds now better and faster to the user's tap thus stopping playing of the current scale/chord/interval rounds one round quicker = earlier. As before, if the metronome is started with SOUND and the timer/stopwatch is running, the timer is "stopped" and switched to lap time B state, and thus temporarily "out of use" (but STILL running in the background). Now, when the metronome is stopped in this kind of situation, also the visible part of the timer/stopwatch starts automatically running again. Internal code changes What's new in version 5.00 (Fri 19 March 2004) Added independently working main (piano keyboard) screen sound volume control. This was one of the most asked for features among the ones ScaleTune users have been patiently looking forward to having. Added independently working metronome sound volume control. Also this was one of the most asked for features among the ones ScaleTune users have been patiently looking forward to having. Considerably better responding and working piano keyboard yielding an easy, natural playing experience. Playing of melodies etc. is now comfortable also rhythmically, because a currently playing note can now be interrupted any time by tapping another (or repeatedly the same) piano keyboard key. All settings and choices of also the main frame are now saved into and restored from ScaleTune's user database, so it is now even more comfortable for the user to go on from the situation where (s)he was when she last time exited ScaleTune. Tungsten T3 slider problem fixed. This was an internal bug in one of the compilers we are using, not in our own, thoroughly tested, certified and error-free code. The manufacturer of the compiler nailed now down this problem. Read more about it in the "Version history" section of STune.txt (included in the zip download and also available at our Web site).
