ShowFreeSpace is a straightforward piece of software you can use to find out how much free space is available on your hard disk at the moment. It utilizes the Win32 API service to collect these details by calling the GetNumberofBytes() method.
The program provides basic statistics that give you a clear idea of the disk capacity and help you figure out how to remove files to make room for new information as well as restore the computer's working parameters by decluttering the disk.

View free disk space and refresh data

Disk space capacity is analyzed at startup automatically. There is only one window available, which reveals the amount of free disk space (in megabytes) for each drive, whether we're talking about the local disk, a removable drive, or a network location.
Only drives labeled A: through I: are listed. If letters aren't associated with any drives on your computer, it displays "n/a". Aside from the fact that you can refresh information if any changes were made in the meantime, there are no other notable options supplied by this program.

No installation is required

There is no setup file involved. Instead, ShowFreeSpace is packed in a small-sized executable that you can save to a preferred directory on the disk or external storage device to directly launch it on any computer with as little effort as possible.
Unlike many installers, it doesn't integrate new entries into the system registry or create files on the disk without your permission. To uninstall it, you just have to remove the .exe item.

Evaluation and conclusion

It worked smoothly in our tests, without freezing, crashing or indicating errors. It analyzed and displayed drive information quickly while using a low amount of system resources.
Although it doesn't comes bundled with an original set of features, ShowFreeSpace delivers a speedy solution for viewing free disk space, and it doesn't require installation.
