SilentNight Radio

SilentNight Radio is a lightweight Windows application that helps users listen to various radio stations online, while offering the possibility to record the audio streams.
Since this is a portable program, it is important to mention that it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows Registry. You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you need to connect to different radio stations on the fly.
SilentNight Radio sports a clean and straightforward layout that allows users to select between a wide range of radio channels, such as Rock, Blues, Classical, or Norwegian, or others.
What’s more, the application lets you add external URLs to connect to other radio stations, adjust the volume, and change the layout of the program by selecting from different skins.
Other important features worth mentioning are represented by the possibility to perform recording operations, and enable the automatic recording mode for capturing audio streams for a specified time.
In order to carry out the recording process, you are required to specify the saving directory and provide a name for the recorded file. By default, SilentNight Radio saves the audio files to MP3 file format and allows users to edit the tags.
During our testing we have noticed that the program carries out a task very quickly and without errors throughout the entire process. It manages to remain light on the system resources, so it doesn’t hamper computer performance, nor interfere with other programs’ functionality.
