SLD Codec Pack

SLD Codec Pack is a collection of video and audio filters designed to facilitate the playback of popular media formats, such as SVCD, DivX, XviD, WMA, MP3, OGG, to name the most important ones.
Even though it was an appreciated codec collection back in the day, SLD Codec Pack is an outdated software solution nowadays. This is mostly due to the fact that it hasn’t received updates in a very long time, but the fact that OS compatibility specifications are limited to the oldest releases of Windows also accounts for that.

As any other codec collection, the installation process is a simple procedure; clicking a few times on the Next button suffice to get the package accommodated on the system. As soon as deployment is done, a folder of shortcuts will open, allowing you to manage the installed codecs.
The SLD Codec Selector provides full control over the codec package, allowing you to disable any of the filters deployed on the system. Also included in the collection is GSpot, which helps you to identify what codecs are required to play a media file.
If you need a playback software, look no further, since the software brings a reliable solution under the name of Media Player Classic. For MP4 files, you can use the mpegable Player that’s also part of the pack.
