SlidePhoto Description
Photos are quite an important resource type in the modern world, being used for a variety of domains of activity, which can even mean textures in your favorite video game. Chances are you simply need to bundle them inside a presentation under the form of a slideshow, and if this is it, then clean applications like SlidePhoto can get the job done in no time at all.
Can be used on the go
On the bright side of things, the application saves you a great deal of time and effort otherwise invested in a setup process. This means that you can easily carry it around on a thumb drive in case you want to use it on the go. Note, however, that .NET Framework is required to make the application work.
Right from the start you’re asked whether you want to create a new slideshow, or view an existing one, but you can’t really view one if it’s the first time the application runs, because it saves slideshows under its own format. The creation process is nothing to worry about, though.
Good, but far from being a pro
Only a few steps need to be followed to have a slideshow ready for playback. You’re required to provide a name, as well as additional comments, but for the entire project, rather than individual pictures. File support is decent, and you’re able to work with images under formats like BMP, JPG, and GIF.
A saved slideshow needs to be delivered to a custom location on your computer. When you choose to open an existing one, it’s shown inside a classic window frame. Sadly, there’s little to no control over slideshow playback, and the presentation window can’t be resized, which can easily become frustrating.
In conclusion
Taking everything into consideration, we can state that SlidePhoto is a pretty straightforward slideshow builder, which is intended for simple picture presentations. The building process is decent, but there aren’t really any options related to the transition time, or possibility to manually move through slides.
