How to encrypt and decrypt files

Items can be added to the task list using either the file browser or drag-and-drop method. All you have to do is specify a password and confirm it, indicate a new file name and location, and click a button to encrypt it immediately.
The app does not add password protection to the original file but creates a new one instead. Therefore, you have to be careful with the original items, since they can be normally accessed. In order to decrypt the files, it is only necessary to point out the file, new directory and password.

Configure encryption, integration and file wiping settings

SmartEncryptor can be asked to automatically wipe the source files and create self-extracting files. You can select the encryption method between AES and Blowfish, create a shell extension in the Windows Explorer context menu to quickly encrypt files, as well as pick the file shredding method which ranges from 1 to 10 passes.
