Solway's Task Scheduler

Solway’s Task Scheduler is a software utility developed in order to help people execute apps or open files according to a schedule.
After a quick and uneventful installation, you are met with a plain interface, which allows any type of person to use it, even those with little to no previous experience with computers. It is comprised of several buttons and a panel in which to view all the added tasks along with details regarding them.
In order to define a new action, you are required to input a name for it, specify which files to open or which programs to run (by browsing the contents of your hard drive), as well as choose start time and date, and repeat frequency (only once, weekly, yearly, at shutdown etc.).
In addition to that, you should know it is possible to choose the weekdays in which to repeat the task, set up the end date and skip dates present in the “Holiday File”. The latter comes empty, thus enabling you to customize it.
You can force Solway’s Task Scheduler to verify the settings before executing a task. Aside from that the tool can be launched on system startup and it can be sent to the tray, so as to make it non-obtrusive.
Reports pertaining to the set up actions can be generated and saved to the hard disk in a HTML format, while Help contents are provided, yet they are not so extensive.
To sum up, Solway’s Task Scheduler is a fairly decent piece of software, which proves to be useful if you have to repeat certain tasks on a regular basis.
