SpeedOut Description
SpeedOut is a small and portable software tool which reveals the reading and writing speed of your USB flash drives. It can be handled even by novices.
Thanks to its portability, you can simply drop SpeedOut on any location of the hard drive, and directly run the executable file.
As an alternative, you can save SpeedOut to a USB flash drive or external hard drive, and run it on any computer.
What's more important is that the Windows Registry is not updated with new entries, and no files are left behind on the hard drive after program removal. Also, SpeedOut can be kept in your pocket whenever you're on the go.
The GUI of the tool is made from a small window with an uncomplicated design. So, all you have to do is pick the USB flash drive from a drop-down menu and start the reading and writing tests; SpeedOut performs four separate tests for each type, and the results consist of their average values.
The straightforward software program runs on a very low amount of CPU and system memory, has a good response time and takes several seconds to complete the tests. We have not encountered any problems during our evaluation; SpeedOut did not hang, crash or display error dialogs. To conclude, SpeedOut should please all users who want to quickly test the capabilities of their USB flash drives.
