STDU Converter Lite

This is the compact edition of STDU Converter - a lightweight application that performs file conversions from the DjVu (DJVU, DJV), TIFF (TIF, TIFF), Comic Book Archive (CBR, CBZ) and DCX file types (DCX, PCX) to the PDF format. It addresses all types of users, regardless of their experience level.
After a brief installation procedure, you are welcomed by a small window with an uncomplicated layout. The "what you see is what you get" principle clearly applies to STDU Converter Lite, as there are no other options available, aside from the ones shown in the main application window.
Selecting a file for conversion is done with the courtesy of the file browser, since the "drag and drop" function is not supported. Unfortunately, you cannot process more than one item in a single session.
So, all you have to do is establish the output directory and file name, in order to initialize the conversion operation. Once it finishes, STDU Converter Lite offers to open the output document.
The app delivers very good results regarding the text layout and graphics quality. It has a good response time and finishes a task swiftly, while consuming a very low amount of CPU and system memory (so, it doesn't affect the computer's overall performance).
No error dialogs have been shown in our tests and the tool did not hang or crash. All in all, the light edition of STDU Converter comes packed with the necessary and suffice elements for PDF conversions, which can be handled even by first-time users.
