Sun Clock

When it comes to desktop gadgets, individuals are usually looking for items that stand out. Designed for the Yahoo! Widget Engine, Sun Clock is a lightweight tool that can show you the sun's current position over worldwide locations, so you can figure out what time it is.
The app's interface consists of a small frame where you can view the current position of the sun. By opening the context menu, you can make the app cycle through a day or a year.
But you can also access the 'Widget Preferences' screen to adjust the size of the frame, include a border, and to change the default frame color.
Thanks to the default settings provided by the Yahoo! Widget Engine, you can also set Sun Clock to stay on top or below all the other windows, to ignore mouse events and to prevent dragging, as well as set its opacity level between 20% and 100%.
The simple-to-use gadget has a good response time but it may take a while to finish cycling through a day or year. Sun Clock doesn't put any strain on the computer's resources, as it uses a low amount of CPU and system memory.
We have not come across any issues during our testing; Sun Clock did not freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs. Unfortunately, the tool has not been updated for a while but that's probably due to the fact that the Yahoo! Widget Engine project has been discontinued.
