For users who have not yet had the chance to upgrade their operating system to Windows 8, there are several applications out there that can offer you a taste of what the touch-optimized OS feels like. One of them is Super WinLock, a handy utility that allows you to implement a new look screen to your computer, similar to that integrated in Windows 8.

Simple lock screen with audio playback functionality

The lock screen is the screen that appears when booting your Windows 8 PC or when it is sleeping. It offers you basic information, such as the current date and time, update and event notifications, as well as battery status (for laptops and notebooks).
